Why Duck Butt?
Every summer, the wood ducks and mallards return to our backyard pond. When they dip their heads into the water and their butt feathers go up in the air, you know they're after something special. Inspired by my surrounding here in Maine, I repurpose and rethink scrap pieces of wood, worn-out skis, license plates, etc. and give them a new life. I take that a-ha moment and turn it into something useful and beautiful for you..
Why I Started
The only thing better than crafting something with our own hands is doing it for someone else who you know will appreciate it. That's why I don't make generic products -- everything is designed for a specific person. That's also why I always think of the creation process in terms of "we." All of my work is done in collaboration with the recipient. Duck Butt is Us.
